Noble Wine Cellar is the tasting room
of local winemaker Jabe Hilson. The wines are traditional fine wines made from grapes grown in our region’s only AVA, the Upper Hiwassee Highlands.
In addition to the winemaker’s label, select wines from around Georgia are also featured including a sweet wine tasting. The tasting room is also a Georgia made and Georgia grown store with unique products from around the state.
An American Viticultural Area (AVA) is a designated wine grape-growing region
in the United States: Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley, Finger Lakes, etc. The Upper Hiwassee Highlands AVA includes land in three counties of northern Georgia
and two counties of western North Carolina
. It is located near the southern end of the Blue Ridge Mountains
and includes portions of the Georgia counties of Fannin
, and Union
and of the North Carolina counties of Cherokee
Noble Wine Cellar is open 7 days a week: Monday through Saturday 11:00am – 6:00pm and Sundays 1:00pm – 5:00pm.
Noble’s wines are produced from a single vineyard, Fiddler’s Ridge, located in Georgia’s first and only AVA.
While growing grapes can be challenging on the East Coast, proper site selection, training methods and crop management have meant that Noble Wine Cellar continues to produce high quality fruit each year.
We are pleased to have ten acres of four varieties: Traminette, Petit Manseng, Chambourcin, and Merlot.
Currently available in our tasting room, and in select dining establishments throughout the Southeast, are our Traminette and Petit Manseng.
