HAPPY TRAILS FOR YOU IN RABUN COUNTY!
June 2 is National Trails Day!
So take a look at a GREAT WAY TO CELEBRATE in our beautiful Rabun County!
The Hambidge Center offers a gorgeous oasis in the Blue Ridge Mountains, where creative minds can come and explore their gifts! It is located on a 600-acre property and offers a peaceful sanctuary for reflection and growth. There are so many trails on the land, making a total of 7 miles waiting to be explored. On the trails, hikers can find streams, waterfalls, wild animals and native plants to the Georgia region.
On the third Saturday of every month, Hambidge holds nature hikes open to the public, so that visitors have the chance to experience the beautiful, serene setting that’s available. In warmer months, visitors may be able to access the natural swimming hole on the property. On special occasions such as New Year’s Day, the center will sometimes put together a bunch of unique hike options chosen for their differing difficulty levels. If visiting the area, this is a great opportunity to see the beautiful mountains and the positive work being done around them. They also offer environmental programs for those interested in sustainability and eco-consciousness.
