  Wildflower and Early Birders Walk Beside Mud Creek at Sky Valley

Visit Sky Valley on Saturday, May 11 for a “Wildflower and Early Birders Walk Beside Mud Creek at Sky Valley.  Park is available in the “old lodge,” parking lot.  The shuttle will take you down to the beautiful Mud Creek waterfall which is where the 1/2 mile hike begins.

From 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. a professional birder will be available for identifying migrating birds.

The Wildflower Walk will be between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.  Sky Valley Garden Club members will point out native trees and wildflowers along the gentle trail along the creek.

After the hike, you are welcomed to have lunch at our golf shop, “Turn,” for a 10% discount.  While having lunch you can sit outside to enjoy watching golfers as they finish #18 and even play a round of golf yourself.  Golf fees will be offered for a special 10% discount all weekend!

Whatever you decide to do, it will be a beautiful outing as you experience nature in the Northeast Georgia Mountains of Rabun County.

Rabun County, in the very northeast corner of Georgia, is getting ready to celebrate two hundred years!  On December 21, 1819, the Georgia General Assembly passed an act creating Rabun as the 47th county in Georgia.  Rabunites are looking forward to celebrating historic milestones throughout 2019  Bicentennial
