Travel Writing w/ Author Meggan Kaiser at Wander North Georgia
Join the folks at Wander North Georgia on May 18th from 10:00a-1:00p for a workshop on Travel Writing with author Meggan Kaiser. Tickets are $10 (link above) and this workshop is all ages and perfect for anyone who wants to connect their passion for travel and writing.
As a reminder, 100% of the workshop ticket goes directly to the workshop instructor as part of our mission to support local artists and creatives.
Meggan Kaiser is a North Georgia native, travel addict, author of Everywhere for Nothing: Free Travel for the Modern Nomad, and host of upcoming Travel Channel digital series 24/$7 – One City, Seven Dollars, One Day. With over 33 countries under her belt, when she’s not on the move, she’s a nonfiction ghostwriter and script producer at Los Angeles-based Fanciful Fox Production and Portland-based Dwightly Story Agency.
We read, watch TV, and scroll through feeds to escape to other places – why not do it through our own writing? Whether or not you’ve dabbled in travel writing before, if you love travel and are willing experiment and explore, this workshop is for you. Previous travel and/or writing experience is not necessary, but imagination is!
Together, we’ll read, write, listen, and explore the art of travel through the magic of words. We’ll discuss the basic building blocks of travel writing, play with ideas, develop characters and scenes, and travel together through places real and imagined.
Requirements: Notepad, pen or pencil, and a willingness to share. All ages and levels of writers are welcome. Parents welcome (as long as they participate!).
