Timber Rattlers with the Orianne Society at Wander North Georgia

Come join Dr. Chris Jenkins, CEO of Orianne Society to learn more about Timber Rattlesnakes on the Highland Plateau and North Georgia. Learn more about their ecology, need for conservation, how to identify Timber Rattlesnakes, and how to avoid and treat snake bites. You’ll also learn about Orianne’s programs for landowners living alongside Timber Rattlesnakes. This event is free to the public and suitable for all ages.

The Orianne Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the conservation of reptiles, amphibians and the ecosystems they inhabit. Founded in 2008, the organization is headquartered in Tiger, Georgia, but works nationally and internationally to conserve reptile and amphibian species in decline.

The Orianne Society will bring some of their non-venomous animals with them for after the workshop for you to experience and learn about.
