Natural Impressions Pottery Workshop at Wander North Georgia
Join the folks at Wander on Sunday, May 5th from 1-3pm for a Natural Impressions Pottery Workshop. The cost is $35 a person and space is limited. Ester’s workshops always sell out so grab your spot ASAP at the ticket link below.
As a reminder, 100% of the workshop ticket goes directly to the workshop instructor as part of our mission to support local artists and creatives.
Come enjoy getting your hands in clay and make something beautiful and functional. No experience necessary, let the new growth of spring inspire your creativity. We will use plants to make impressions in slabs of clay. Then turn your clay into a food safe plate or a decorative wall hanging. The instructor will have a variety of leaves to choose from, feel free to bring some clippings of your own (a special houseplant, your favorite flowers) to personalize your creation.
Local potter Ester Lipscomb has over 20 years of experience teaching and making pottery. She has guided students of all ages in enjoying their innate creativity. Many know her as a resident potter at Mark of the Potter and have seen her work at art shows in Atlanta, Asheville, Macon, Athens and more. She will show you the proper techniques for hand-building a piece of pottery to last.
If you have always wanted to try clay this is an afternoon you won’t want to miss.
The instructor will provide clay, tools and everything you need. Work will be glazed and fired by the instructor and will be available for pickup at Wander approximately 3-4 weeks after class. Shipping is available for an additional charge.
Questions about what plants will work? Feel free to post a picture here to ask the instructor.
