Celebrate Clayton – Rabun County’s Art Festival
COME HAVE FUN IN THE MOUNTAINS!
Celebrate Clayton is an Arts and Fine Crafts Festival for all ages. The Festival is presented by the North Georgia Arts Guild. This event is held annually the last weekend of April in downtown Clayton on Main Street. There are many opportunities for vacationers, visitors, and local residents to experience this fun-filled festival. Among the various opportunities, there are unique arts and fine crafts exhibits on Clayton’s, Main Street. The bonus to this event is the spectacular back-drop of the Northeast Georgia mountains. This Festival is a family-friendly festival which will tempt visitors to stay all day. In addition, there will be a kids activity area. Furthermore, there is a wide variety of refreshments from food vendors and restaurants on Main Street. Also, there will be local entertainment on the shady lawn of the historic Rock House. Excitement and adventure abound in Rabun County while the season begins anew welcoming new growth of trees, lovely florals along with the fresh air these mountains provide.
The annual Celebrate Clayton Art Festival will be a great opportunity for the public to get Bicentennial information including purchasing souvenirs and to peruse the creative offerings of juried artists and artisans.
Our Mission is to: Increase tourism by attracting visitors and vacationers to the City of Clayton and Rabun County to spend a day or two at the festival, shop and dine with our merchants, stay overnight at our hotels and motels, and enjoy the rich culture and natural beauty of the Northeast Georgia mountains; and provide the entire community with a family-friendly, fun and exciting art experience.
Proceeds from the event will help fund scholarships for local Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops and artistically talented high school seniors in Rabun County.
