In late 2015, the opportunity to work with local legend Cappy Taylor to purchase Zeppelin’s presented itself. Between Cappy, Erin and Burt, they worked a deal none of them could resist. Cappy was ready for a break and Erin and Burt were ready for a change. The stars aligned and Clarks’ on Main was born.
With a “soft opening” on Super Bowl Sunday 2016 after a month-long renovation including painting the exterior and interior, adding a deck, tearing down the wall and existing bar and adding a 40’ granite bar. The bar boasts twelve 55’ TV’s, complimentary WiFi and USB ports to charge your mobile device! Downstairs also has Golden Tee, PacMan and a TouchTunes jukebox so you can play songs you want to hear!
The upstairs is open with two pool tables, two dart boards and a fuseball table! Live music will also be scheduled during the summer.
The goal of Clarks’ is to be an unapologetic sports bar with superb food and excellent customer service. Step one was to hire the best Chef around – and we were lucky to acquire Chef Alex Stein (formerly of the Laurel Bar and White Birch Inn). Chef Alex and his team have created a masterful menu with wonderful appetizers (Fried Brussels Sprouts, Poutine, Drunken Clams, Nachos and Seared Ahi to name a few!), Sandwiches (our Unapologetic Burger, the Shrimp Po’ Boy and the Cuban, for starters!). Our entrees include a build your own pizza, our renowned Tacos (the Korean and Mojo Pork are favorites already!), and Wings with sauces made from scratch.
Check us out daily from 11:00 – midnight. We are located at 88 North Main Street in Historic Downtown Clayton.
