08-31-2019 Labor Day Weekend FIREWORKS

Presented by the City of Clayton and Rabun County, like in 1976 on the anniversary of our countries birth, Labor Day will be celebrated with a bang.

While you celebrate the end of summer you will also be celebrating 200 years for Rabun County.

More complete details will be coming soon so continue to check all the events all year long. What we do know is the Clayton Merchants and Business Association will be having a party on main street that night before the fireworks. So bring your chairs to set up on main street, listen to some live music at the Rock House, and peruse the shops as they will stay open a little later while you wait for the big show.

Around dusk/dark you’ll be able to look north just a bit to Black Rock Mountain and watch the night light up with a beautiful display of fireworks.

Rain Date for the Fireworks and party will be Sunday, September 1st.

Rabun County, in the very northeast corner of Georgia, is celebrating two hundred years!

On December 21, 1819 the Georgia General Assembly passed an act creating Rabun as the 47th Georgia county. Rabunites look forward to celebrating historic milestones throughout 2019.
