TALLULAH FALLS BLUEGRASS ON THE SQUARE
Bring your lawn chair or blanket and come listen to Bluegrass music and join the fun at the Tallulah Fall Opry on Main Street every Saturday night from April through November, weather permitting! Enjoy the bonfire, roasting marshmallows and eating hot dogs right off the grill.
Bring your instrument and join in if you like.
Admission is free- donations are appreciated.
AESTHETIC WATER RELEASES
Tallulah Gorge State Park
200 Cubic Feet/Second. This water flow is a historical glimpse of Tallulah River’s water flow prior to the building of the dam in 1912. To see the amazing sites, hiking along the North and South Rim Trails and walking down the stairs on the Hurricane Falls Suspension Trail is allowed. You may also continue down the steps on the south side of the Gorge to the viewing platform at the base of Hurricane Falls. 3rd SATURDAY NATURE HIKES
Hambidge Center, 9:30am-11:30am
Hambidge has a number of hiking trails among an incredible biodiversity of meadows, streams, waterfalls, native plants and wildflowers, and a cove forest. Nature Hikes take place every Third Saturday. The hikes are led by knowledgeable guides, focusing on a different topic each month, such as: mushrooms, tree identification, wild flowers, geography, etc. These hikes can be strenuous. Wear sturdy walking/hiking shoes, dress in layers, bring drinking water, bug spray, a snack and a walking stick, if desired. If you would like to participate in a Nature Hike, contact Deb Sanders at center@hambidge.org or 706-746-7324. HOLIDAY GORGE FLOOR HIKE
Tallulah Gorge State Park, 10:30am – 2:30pm
This guided hike will take you from rim to river while learning about the gorge’s unique environments. Be sure to wear proper footwear (no flip-flops or Crocs). This hike is strenuous and will involve rock hopping and getting wet. Bring a lunch and lots of water. For ages 10 and older… $5 plus $5 parking.
