On June 2nd from 1pm – 4pm, you are invited to visit the historical gristmill Mary Hambidge built in 1944 for the use of local farmers. As part of the Hambidge Saturday Series, Barker’s Creek Mill is operated by Hambidge on the First Saturday of each month. Their volunteer miller, Woody Malot, demonstrates the workings of this historical gristmill and is happy to answer any questions. Stone ground grits and cornmeal are available for purchase. Go to www.hambidge.org for more information.
