Full Moon Suspension Bridge Hike

Aesthetic Water Release at Tallulah Gorge State Park

On a typical day, the water flow through the gorge is 35-40 CFS (cubic feet per second).  During aestehetic releases, the flow is 200 CFS, and during whitewater releases, the flow is 500 CFS on Saturday and 700 CFS on Sunday.  This water flow is less than a whitewater release but more than the regular flow through the gorge.  Hiking and rock climbing are not allowed on these water release days.

Don’t miss this beautiful sight of water rushing through the gorgeous Gorge.  Make a day of it.  Hike all around the top of the gorge and then take a few minutes to just sit and hear the wonder of nature and man working together.
