There are 190 cemeteries in Rabun County; some are family cemeteries and are located on private property. The County mapping department has all the cemeteries located on a map. The oldest grave in the Clayton cemetery is James Hunnicut (1854) and there is also the grave of Celeste Parrish (1917) with the inscription “Georgia’s Greatest Woman” on her marker. Revolutionary Soldier John Dillard is buried in the cemetery of the Head of Tennessee Baptist Church.
